the project.
A collaborative and participatory methodology was used to develop a user-centred, flexible, and inclusive tool and guidance collecting information and providing contextualised district and national analysis of five target countries. The process guidance captured a diverse set of knowledge and experiences, surfacing contextually significant adaptations and approaches from primary users.
The tool and guidance were designed for agility, allowing War Child UK to conduct comprehensive, systematic, and structured context analyses at a macro- and micro-level, collecting relevant, robust, and timely information on an annual cycle while allowing for more frequent application, for example, during and after the onset of a crisis.
The guidance provided best practice notes on ethically convening rights-holders, including children and young people, to capture micro-level insights to strengthen and inform macro-level analysis.
